I cut out a piece of DSP from Candy Lane* to cover the top of the tin and adhered it in place using Sticky Strip. I used my craft knife and self healing mat along with a metal ruler to cut out the window section and I cut bands of the same paper to adhere to the sides of the tin to give a uniform appearance. I then took a piece of Pink Pirouette 1" Grosgrain Ribbon* and attached this on top.
For the word Baby I took letters from On Board Loads of Letters and used a Chocolate Chip Marker to color the edges. I traced each letter onto a piece of Chocolate Chip Prints DSP, cut them out and adhered them using Tombow Multi Glue to the chipboard - I then glued the letters onto the ribbon.
I stamped 'for' onto a piece of Shimmery White in Chocolate Chip Ink using letters from ABC Alphabet Lower* and then attached it to the ribbon with a piece of Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware to frame it. For finishing touches, I used flowers from Flower Fusion and Flower Fusion Too* and a Vanilla Brad with Dazzling Diamonds on it along with a button from Button Bouquet* and embroidery floss to finish my tin off.
I then folded the receiving blanket so that it would fit into the tin and worked out the placement of the flowers so that they would show through the window - I stitched each flower in place and used a button from Button Bouquet* or Button Latte on each - I cut up the petals from some Old Olive flowers to use as leaves and finally I stitched the stems into place - I think it turned out super cute :-)
