Simple Scrapbook Page...

So many scrapbook page designs appear so complicated that it can put you off from making them - and being behind in my scrapbooking, I decided to concentrate on making some simple pages which take little time and supplies in putting together...

On this page I wanted to profile some of my favorite photos of my girls from newborn to age 5 - this layout allows you to add lots of photos and a journaling box - and you can add embellishments if you want to develop it from this simple format...I love the clean lines and simple look :-)

The supplies are minimal - I took one 12x12 sheet of Rose Red cardstock and cut a piece of 12x12 Whisper White cardstock to mat onto it, leaving a nice border.

I then calculated how big my photographs needed to be to get 3 to a row whilst also leaving the same sized border around the edge for continuity and I trimmed my photos to size, being sure to get the focal point in the center of each - to make this easy, first I cut a piece of clear acetate sheet to the size of my photos - I then place this on each photo and decide where I want to trim it - I mark around the edge my acetate square with a pencil and use those lines to trim it to size - this makes it extremely easy to make sure you get the part of the photograph that you want and that you cut it to the correct size :-)

I then adhered the photographs in place along with the journaling box - and used a rub-on as my title.

I decided to keep it really simple and not add anything else, but you could use ribbons, flowers...whatever embellies you have to hand and love to use :-)

I love this page! Really simple, but so striking!

Would you mind sharing the measurements (I have many great abilities, math isn't one of them!!).

Great work!
